To ensure maximum focus, all practical sessions, checks, and classes are hosted at our primary office in Albemarle exclusively on Thursdays by appointment only.

Please note: All individual and small group pathways take place strictly at our main Albemarle facility. On-site mobile travel is reserved exclusively for corporate employer groups.

An American Heart Association (AHA) Blended Learning Course (Bella Medical Associates Training Center: Atrium Health)

Available Training Pathways

Option 1: AHA HeartCode® Hands-On Skills Check (Hybrid Format)

  • Best For: Individuals who prefer asynchronous online learning followed by an ultra-fast practical check-off.
  • Format: Complete the online cognitive portion independently at your own pace, then join us at our office for a rapid physical skill verification.
  • Time on-site: 30–45 minutes. Available for private 1-on-1 sessions or small group sessions.

Option 2: Full Instructor-Led BLS Only Class (Healthcare Professionals Only)

  • Strictly For: Individuals working in healthcare and clinical environments (medical clinics, dental offices, nursing teams, emergency responders, group homes) requiring standard professional life-support credentials.
  • Includes: Advanced multi-rescuer CPR, AED operation, team dynamics, and choking relief for teams that already have separate medical training.
  • Time on-site: Approximately 3.5 to 4 hours. (Requires a minimum group headcount to run).

Option 3: Total Workplace Compliance Bundle (Non-Healthcare Providers)

  • Best For: Individuals working in daycares, schools, industrial settings, corporate offices, or fitness centers who need to meet mandatory OSHA and state safety regulations.
  • Includes: Full AHA Heartsaver® First Aid + CPR + AED + OSHA-Compliant Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) certification.
  • Time on-site: Approximately 4.5 to 5 hours. (Requires a minimum group headcount to run).

Hybrid Format (Option 1): How It Works (3 Steps)

Step 1: Complete Online Coursework

Register independently at AHA eLearning to complete your self-paced online knowledge portion.

Step 2: Schedule Your Hands-On Skills Check

  • When: Thursdays only (strictly by appointment).
  • Deadline: You must complete this hands-on check within your employer's required timeframe, but absolutely within 60 days of finishing your online coursework.
  • ⚠️ Critical AHA Requirements: You must provide a printed or digital copy of your official AHA Online Course Completion Certificate at the start of your appointment (email [email protected]). Per American Heart Association regulations, our instructors cannot legally test your skills without this verification. If you do not have proof of completion, your session will be canceled and subject to a rescheduling fee.
  • Time: You will demonstrate your skills on a practice mannequin with a certified AHA instructor (takes 30–60 minutes 1-on-1; 1–2 hours for small groups).

Step 3: Receive Your Certification

After passing both steps, you will receive your official AHA digital eCard sent straight to your email within our standard 48-business-hour processing window. Your certification is valid for two years.

Important Rules for Certification Type

  • Initial Certification: For individuals who have never been certified before or whose previous certification has expired.
  • Renewal Training: For individuals who currently hold a valid, non-expired AHA BLS card.
  • AHA Policy Note: If your current card is expired, you must complete the full initial certification or hybrid course pathway to reclaim your active credentials.
